P² Lemonade

Last weekend I had a Bella Lemonata at Olive Garden. I was still thinking about it on Tuesday so I had the hubby pick up a few things at the grocery store.

Warning: This is addictive! I’m on my third glass since last night!

About 6 lemons
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
Pineapple Juice
Pomegranate Juice
Club soda or water

Hilltop Homemaker: P² Lemonade

First gather your ingredients. Juice your lemons. You want about a cup of lemon juice. I like to roll them on the counter before squeezing! Make a simple heavy syrup by heating 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to boiling until all sugar is dissolved.  Pour this into your lemon juice and stir well. Congrats! You’ve made a sweet lemonade syrup! At this point, you could just add some more water and have lemonade, but we will go a little further.

Fill your glass about halfway with ice. Now fill 1/3 of your glass with your lemonade syrup, and 1/3 with pineapple juice. Add a splash of pomegranate juice and fill the rest of the way with either club soda for bubbles or water for flat. Enjoy! Let me know if you like this recipe!
